Todorov's and Propp's Theories applied to World War Z

Horror Posters

This Horror posters converts the conventions of a horror poster as, it almost looks fairytale like but the poster also has a hidden image within; a skull. It does follow the conventions of dull colours; black and white.
This poster has a common convention among horror posters, which is to have one single feature; this draws in the eye, and allows us to focus on the poster specifically to one character or item.

This poster is very effective, due to how it looks like it part of a documentary, so it looks like it is based on a true event. This is then confirmed by the little description that is given on the poster. It also follows the conventions of horror posters by using black and white colours, but also it includes a little hint of red for the voodoo sign on the poster. Which gives the element of danger or even the devil (in this case witch craft).

This poster, similar to the Silent Hill Revelation 3D poster is based on one feature, making it seem more creepy, with the quote " Before you die, you see the ring" makes it seem almost personal as it directs the audiences all on its own. And again, it does not convert the conventions as it only involves the two colours; Black and White.
